Valentine Bag Topper

My daughter, Meghan and I made these simple little Valentine bags for her GT class.

I was once again using up some retired DSP and ribbon and added the cute little stamp from the P.S. I Love You 125462 stamp set out of the Occasions Mini Catalog. These were so simple to make. I just cute the topper using the Big Shot113439 and the Top Note Die 113463. We scored them in half using the Simply Scored 122334. We folded that over the top of the Cello Bags Flat Medium 102757. Tied the ribbon stuck on the stamp image and there you have it. We added a little address label on the back for her to put who it was from. I am definately making more of these....probably for all the staff at my kids' school.

Pretty little box

You are probably not going to believe this, but this little box is made using two of the milk carton dies 117310. You take two of them cut off the one panel opposite of the little tab and then adhear them together. The top is a little tricky you have to punch holes and thread ribbon through to get it to stay closed.

I have been working a lot with Sale-a-bration products here I used: the beautiful Everyday Enchantment DSP 126154, Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack 457279, Fresh Vintage Stamp Set c 125117 w 125115 (the above three can be earned for FREE for a hostess with party sales of $400 or more), Elementary Elegance Stamp Set c 125122 w 125120.

The butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die 118138 goes so perfect with this paper. The 8mm Large Pearl Basic Jewels 125577 is from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I wanted to change things up a little so I added a little detail on the band by folding the edges, punching holes and lacing ribbon through. Such a cute touch.

Kid's Valentines

Here are the Valentines that my kids and I have been working on. I used up some of the retired products that I have had laying around which is always a good thing.

When you have 5 kids and 4 of them in school that is a lot of Valentines to make. So my friend was teasing me a little when last month I started making all of these homemade suckers and pinwheels.
My kids all stamped their own little tags to attach to them. I think they turned out really cute. I started with a 3x3 square and cut in on all 4 corners about 1-1 1/2 inches. Then you fold in one side of each corner to the center. I layered a 1 inch circle on the front and the back. I punched a hole through the center, adheared a brad and then attached that to a 1 inch circle that I had punched 2 holes in and strung a ribbon through. I hope that makes sence. I then tied the ribbon to the sucker stick and when the kids were done with their tags we tied that on also with the same ribbon. They stamped their tags using the I (Heart) Hearts 118571 stampset.

Sasha pointed me to an adorable card that used this layered texture by Kristen Nicole Cunningham. Her card is so fabulous that I had to try her technique. I of course had to try out the Mojo Monday sketch again for this week. I am so loving the Elementary Elegance SAB set. This little frame has so much detail in it. I colored it with markers this time to highlight some of the many details. I also used the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die118138. In this case just adding more texture and layers. The Basic Pears and are perfect touch to finish it off.

Hint: To achieve this look it used my texture folders and embossed several colors of paper. I then punched them out using the 1" punch. I started layering them starting at the bottom and worked my way up. I then used my sponge and some soft suede and did a little antiquing on them.

I just love the sketches on sketchy thursdays. They are always so cute. So here I thought I was done and found that I didn't do this picture for my oldest daughter of my girls at the David Archuleta Christmas concert here in Blackfoot. I did not have my camera so the pictures did not turn out well, but I wanted her to remember the fun we had that night. She took one of her BFF's with us.

Scrappy Challenge

So I gave myself a little pre-New Years resolution to get all of my scrapbooking caught up before the end of the year. Yikes! I know that is what I thought when this first came out of my mouth. But hey here it is New Years Eve and I am one layout away from having it all caught up. My only problem is getting some of the final picture off of my phone and onto my computer so I can print them. So here is one of my layouts that I did of the EISF or Easter Idaho State Fair.

I used the Big Top DSP 122348, Bright Buttons 119747, White Baker's Twine 124262, and the new Labels Collection Framelits Dies 125598 these are not available until January 4th in the new occasions mini catalog. Love them! They are so fun.

Note: If you have been wanting the stocking builder punch 124095 from the Holiday mini order it now. Come January 3rd it is gone and we received a note from the home office that it will not carry over to the new catalog.

To achieve this look I spritzed the smooch spritz directly onto the stamp and then stamped it twice. I like the way the second stamping looked better. The first one was a little to hard for me.

It reminded me of Junior High. There was this boy and he was getting ready to plant his first kiss on a friend of mine. Well I am sure at that age all he wanted to do was get out of there. Since yes the whole bus was watching him. So as fast as he could he gave her a big smooch and ran off. Well when he gave the smooch it was so hard my friend's head hit the window of the bus and she started to cry. Poor girl. Like I said the first one was just a little too hard.

In his defence he did grow up in a family of all boys. I am sure he is a little softer now. After all he is married with a bunch of little ones.

Starting in January I will be starting up several classes.

Stampin' Therapy Club (aka hostess group) We will meet the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7pm. Each member will commit to purchasing $30 in Stampin' Up products. We will then take turns being the hostess. The hostess will bring a small treat to share and will receive the benefits of the hostess...the FREE products. There will of course be stamping. Each person will leave with at least two complete projects. This group will be the first to try out all the new products.

Simply Scrapbook class will be held on the third Wednesday of each month. We will make a total of 8 12x12 pages (4 2-page layouts). You will need to bring your own adhesive. The cost for the class is $20.00.

Stamp-a-stack class will be held on the third Thurday of each month. The cost for the class will be $15.00 and you will leave with a varity of cards and 3D items.

Here is this week's sketch of Mojo Monday. Clean and simple. I love it. I don't know about you, but boy cards are a little bit more of a challange for me to make. I thought this one turned out just cute.

I used the turtle and presents from the Turtle & Co. stamp set on page 16 of the IB&C. (w 122870 c 122872). This set is super special it is our Ronald McDonald House set. For every set sold Stampin' Up donates $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. With your help we have contributed over $1,000,000 to date. I think that is super cool.

I also used my new Petiete Pairs (w 122495 c 122497) set. Love this set so many occasions to use it with. Just add Cake DSP 124339.

So my friend Tiffani and I held our first Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack. It was super fun. We didn't realize when we set the date that this was veterans day and 11-11-11 and no school. SORRY! Those that attend had a super fun time though. Sasha won a free stamp set Contempo Christmas (w118734 c 120594) and Andrea won some cute little baby bean bags made by Tiffani using the scallop square die 115850 and her BIG SHOT 113439!

Sometimes I wonder how anyone gets their mojo going on Monday. Seriously my Monday is filled with cleaning, laundry, more cleaning, more laundry, more cleaning, cooking, more cleaning... Even after I get the big kids off to school I still have the two little guys that love making messes. In their defense they are "still playing with that." So here is my take on this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch.

My friend, Tiffani, and I are planning a Christmas Stamp Camp for November. We will be offering 6 cards and a 3-D item. Finally here I am uploading pictures of my projects that I entered into the Eastern Idaho State Fair. I do not know what is up with my camera and uploading but I guess it is just flipping some of the pictures all by itself. I have not idea how to flip them back. ANYWAYS..... Here are the three cards that I entered under "Thank You" catagory. I got second place. Super excited! I used a lot of fun stuff from the holiday mini.

Love the NEW 3/8" quilted Satin Ribbon in Early Espresson 124104 (and Cherry Cobbler 124105).

Here is a closer look of my cute little flower. I also added an antique brad 117273 to the middle. I used the tasteful trim Bigz XL Die 120893 to make the flower.

A little Rock N' Roll technique on the little tag with a leaf stamp from the Genly Falling 123804 c or 123802 w stamp set.

I love the look of layering even with ribbon and linen thread 104199. The ribbon is the Pear Pizzazz 1/2" stitched-poly Ribbon. So cute!

So here is my page of "The Cutest little Cowboy" I posted a page a lot like this earlier, but yes I had to do some updating for the fair and add in some more layers.

Don't you just love these big buttons? I layered my Spice Cake Designer Button 124113 with an antique brad in the middle.

FAIR WEEK

Yes, I am still here. For those of us in Blackfoot life seems to become a little crazy around the first week in September due to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. It is a huge thing here. And since the fair is just down the road from my house there is just no getting around it. Little Blackfoot just becomes one big crazy place. The schools even have early release days for the fair. It is crazy and add two little guys birthdays on top of that and we have one big crazy party. I did finally after years of talking about it submit some items in the arts & crafts department at the fair. I did the cutest little cowboy page of my little guy Samuel, but of course I had to change it up and add more to it. And I did three cards. No I couldn't just use any I had to make three new cards I used the Spice Cake DSP, fabric and buttons. And...I forgot to take pictures before I turned them in. Can you believe that. I will post pictures once I can pick them up next week. I hope all of you are having a great week and if you are here in Blackfoot have FUN AT THE FAIR!

It is that time of year again when everyone heads back to school. The smell of new shoes, pencils and chalk. Don't you just love it? I am getting pretty excited about the kids heading back to school. We are ready for a routine again. I always enjoy seeing them grow and learn. So the other day my daughter, Kinsley, helped me put together these cute little Rolo Pencils for their teachers on the first day of school. Aren't the cute? What made these little babies come together so smoothly is the new Simply Scored 122334 coming September 1st in the Holiday Mini. This is a must have. I was able to score all the lines on the pencil in a snap. I also used the Round Tab Punch 119864 to make the cute little apple core.

If you follow Mary Fish's blog Stampin' Pretty you will recognise the following picture. I just loved this and had to CASE this from her. This is a sneek peek from the Holiday Mini. Warmest of Wishes 122672 is a hostess set that you can earn for free when you host a party and is available starting September 1st. I just love this little owl. I think he is so adorable all dressed up for Halloween. I also used the Wicked Cool (c 120600, w 118738) set and the new 1/2" Scallop dots Ribbon in Tangerine Tango 124144. Here are all the adorable little tins and bags my sister Melissa helped me put together. If you would like to purchase any of these tins or bags I am selling them at cost. I bought in bulk when I had a booth at a local bazzar, but am now trying to declutter my stash. I will have them at my neighborhood yard sale on Saturday, August 27th if you would like to get them then. You can also give me a call and come by. I just love these little kids from the Greeting card kids (c 120633). I also used the Just add cake DSP (124339).

This little tin turned out stinking cute and just perfect for any girls BFF. I used the Flirtatious Specialty DSP (122360) and the Best Friends Forever stampset (W 122805).

I also used the Melon Mambo Embossing Powder (123223) on the BFF. This picture does not do it justice. It is SOOOOO Pretty.

This little pail would make such a cute birthday gift or party favor also would go great for back to school just change the words. I used the Just add cake DSP 124339, the new Petite Pennants Builder Punch 122361, and the Fabulous Phrases W117002.

Here are our cute little Greeting Card Kids 120633 again. I just love them. I love how vintage this one looks. I added in some raffia and did lots of sponging. I also used the must have new 1/2" scallop dots ribbon in Cherry Cobbler 124138 and Chocolate Chip 124142.

This cute little 4oz round tin is filled with erasers perfect for back to school. We used the Blossom Bouquet Tripple Layer Punch 122464 and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack 118309.

These cute little mini lunch sacks are so fun and easy to decorate. I have both the white shown here and the kraft shown below. Here we used the new 2011-2013 In Colors in Calypso Coral 122939, Pool Party 122938 and Lucky Limeade 122935 to stamp the flowers from the new set Raining Flowers w122767. I really love these fun new colors. I also added some of the new 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Calypso coral 122976. This ribbon comes in all 5 of our new in colors.

I used lots of fun retired products on this little bag. You have to cut the mini lunch sack down to fit. I also used the Top Notes die 113463 and the Fun Flowers Die 121812.

I thought I would introduce you to a few of my friends that I met at convention. I went by myself not sure of anyone that was going and left with friends. This is Jessica. She was also by herself. We met before the kickoff party and hung out the rest of convention.

This is Pauline. I met Pauline last year and was excited to run into her again.

These ladies are the BOMB! You gals were so helpful. This is Boni, Lisa, Jan , Becky, Me and Sheila. (I know I should not wear ponytails in pictures. I look bald. YIKES!) These gals have been doing Stampin' Up for years. Lisa was able to walk for her 20 year march this year. Yea, I think the company is only 22 years old. That is amazing. Way to go Lisa! Becky was in the top 100 demonstrators. Great job Becky! Thanks girls for adopting me in and giving me so many great ideas. You are amazing.

Yes, I am still alive. I guess as it seams I am taking the summer off. My kids have been home and keeping me as busy as ever. Which is always fun. They are totally saving me. It is everything I have been wanting....routine, chores, good behavior, money earning for my kids...it is great.

The new catalog goes live July 1st and I am looking for some more ladies to be a part of our hostess group. If you are interest let me know. We meet once a month one the second Thursday of each month. This year we will be making a 12x12 scrapbook page each month. Each member purchases a minimum of $25 worth of SU! products. Playful Polka Dots Simply Scrapbook Class

Because you're so SCARY COOL!Here is the dessert table for my daughter, Kinsley's 10th Birthday. She is a little addicted to Monster High and well we just had to have a Monster High Party. Everything was pink and black with a little splash of turquoise. LOVE IT! Freaky Fabulous Party invites made with My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up... of course.

Yummy cupcakes! I ordered black with white cupcake wrappers from the etsy shop Hey Yo Yo! So cute and I ordered the images for the toppers off of etsy also but I can't find the info of the person I bought it from. It was images for those bottle cap necklaces I just printed them on letter size paper instead of 4x6. I also made the bottle cap necklaces but will have to show those tomorrow as I realized I did not take pictures of them.

So I thought that since our Hostess group order is due to arrive today I would make up an invite to a special workshop. So I have to say my friend MaryLynn showed me this facebook page, sketchy thursdays. I so love it. Thanks MaryLynn. It is so super fun. So this cute little page will be one of the pages we will be making at our April Simply Scrapbook Class. We usually make 4 2-page 12x12 layouts, but I am going to mix it up a little and still give you the total of 8 pages for only $20. Yes, this is a steal of a deal. Our local scapbook store charges $25 for only 3 12x12 layouts. And all products are high quality Stampin' Up!...of course. All you need to do is let me know a week in advance that you will be attending and bring your own adhesive.

I made these cute little Valentines for my kids. I am going to fill them with goodies and hang them on their door on Valentine's Day. Aren't they cute. I used the new Petal Cone Die 121810. I am really loving this die. I also used the retired Sending Love DSP. You can get this on my website under CLEARANCE RACK at a smoking good deal. I also used the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch to make the flower. Just punch it out, spritz it with a little water and wad it up then flatten it out a little and there you have it.

I so love these little empty clear stamp cases that I have altered and put a mini legal pad in. I made one for each of my kids. I didn't show my boy's because they helped make theirs and have not let go of them since. These are great for your bag or purse so your paper pad doesn't get all trashed.

I hope you all had a happy New Year. I have been sicker than a dog, but am getting over things gradually. At least I can get out of bed now. I stayed home with my two little guys while my hubby took the older three up to Grandma & Grandpa's for some bowling and dinner yesterday. They had a lot of fun. My little guys spent the day lounging on the couch running fevers and in between caring for them and laundry I got some stamping done. Here are the four layouts for our January Simply Scrapbook class held on Wednesday, January 19 at 6:30pm. If you would like to attend this class just call or e-mail me. I just made these nugget tins today and am really happy with how cute they turned out. To cover nuggets just cut your paper to 1 inch x 3 inches and wrap it around your chocolate. Add a dab of glue to the end just prior to placing the other end over the top. Super easy and very CUTE!

Money Envelope

Here is the kindle clutch that I made for my mom for Christmas using the Deck the Halls fabric. LOVE IT!

This cute little mug was demoed at Convention and so we copied it for my hostess group. I couldn't find any plain white mugs at the dollar store so my group just got to take a little decor element home to try it out. Afterwards I found this wicker style mug up in my cupboard. Perfect.

So loving the candy wrapper die and how cute these little gifts turned out. Cased them from Becky Roberts.

This is the bag that I decorated to put my mom's Christmas gift in. I love the way it turned out and so simple with the Deck the Halls DSP.

Another case from convention. I finally broke down and bought the case for my clear stamp blocks to protect them from the dust. Then I had to personalize it.

This is the 4th page layout that we did at our simply scrapbook class in November. Remember we are taking December off but will have it again in January. With a request for SNOW pages. LOTS of them.

I made around 100 of these adorable little tags. Yes, I hope my hubby appreciates it.

I also did these mini clear paint cans with the Deck the Halls DSP for my hubbies staff. Then we made almond brittle to put in them. This is my husbands favorite although for the past three Christmas' he has not been able to eat it because of braces. This one is no different. Poor guy.

I just can not believe how far behind I am. It is not that I have not been crafting it is just I have not been posting them...SO sorry. So here is my cute little spider jar. I got the jar for IKEA and then dressed it up with our Spooky Things Decor Elements (Black 120909 or Dark Gray 122296). Of course we have to add some BLING and what better way than with our Black Flourish Designer Jewels (120987) They come with little mini glue dots on the backs so just peel and stick.

Oh and yes let's not forget the Extra-Large Decorative Lable Punch (120907). It just makes me happy typing in all these new things and this is only a small portion of what the Holiday Mini holds. Mojo Monday 152 something retired something new

I know I just had to pull out this retired DSP (Parisian Breeze 113993), and buttons (Corduroy Baja Breeze) and ribbon(Baja Breeze Striped 111375). I just love them and still had some left. The picture doesn't do it justice but I used the Smooch Pearlized Accent Illuminate Top Coat (121084). It just add such a beautiful sparkle to the flower. The flower is from the Greenhouse Garden set (113824). Love this set. I also pulled out the spritzer tool (107066) if yours is collecting dust, pull it out and use it. I just love what it adds. I know you see the sneak peek. The Extra-Large Decorative Label Punch (120907) it is in the Holiday Mini. If you have not yet received a Holiday Mini contact me and I will get you one. First Day Milk Carton & Convention Make & Takes

Okay so maybe I am a little stuck on the back to school. Yea...you see how my life is with 5 littles. I just love this little milk carton. I used the First Day set out of the mini. It is only available until the end of this month. I think it turned out stinkin' cute. Don't you? My sweet little VT received these today at our visit. I also started cleaning out my scrap room. It can get a little out of hand from time to time. I have been clearing out and have some of my retired sets, wheels, pads plus refill and DSP on sale at the Bazaar here in Blackfoot so go and check them out. I will also be getting my cardstock ready to clear out within the next week or so . So keep looking. I am thinking of having a Retired SALE here at my house. While I was cleaning out I came across the make and takes from convention. They were all so cute and fun. So I thought I would share them with you. Mojo Monday and School Supplies

Here is my Mojo Monday 151. These sketches are so much fun. As you can see I am still hooked on the Play Date DSP. It is just so fun and perfect for back to school time. I also used my son's favorite Make a Monster. These little guys are so cute with 3 bodies to choose from, horns, eyes, hair, spots, several mouths, and more. The are just out of this world. I also used the large star punch to make the little penants. Aren't they just adorable. I just love them. They are so in right now.

Look what my girls and I were working on yesterday. Yep, school supplies. I think they turned out so stinkin' cute. We had so much fun. In fact it has given me more ideas for teacher gifts. "Whoooo" wouldn't like a bottle of hand sanitizer for the first day of school to sit on their desk if it was this cute. Or a little note book all decked out.

DSP Covered Pencil & Owl Punch

I covered some pencils for my kids with the new Play Date DSP. I absolutely love it. You will need paper trimmer, DSP, pencil, 5 clothes pins, Mod Podge, brush, and I use wax paper so it doesn't get on my table.

Cut your DSP (designer series paper) to 1 inch x how ever long your wood part of your pencil is. Mine was about 6 5/8 inch. Paint your paper on the wrong side with Mod Podge.

Roll the DSP around your pencil. Yea, this is hard with one hand...you do need both hands. I found it easier to keep the pencil pressed to the table and roll rather than picking it up. Make sure to tuck one end just under the other to slightly overlap. Secure your paper with clothes pins. Make sure to check them so they don't stick to the paper. Let dry 30-60 minutes.

And here you have it a super cute pencil. Don't you just love the little owl that I added to this one.

I was trying to find a picture of the main stage that was good, but you are going to just have to imagine what it was really like. HA! The theme for convention was share what you love as you can see from the giant tag hanging. And don't you just love those giant stamps. SOOOO cute. The top picture is a group performing a song written just for stampin up. I just loved it. The next picture is Shelli with her daughter. Their skirts are both made out of fabric that will be coming in the hoiday mini catalog. Can't wait and I can't wait to show you all the adorable stuff that was displayed at convention made from it. Definately a holiday class coming from it. Anyways their skirts doubled as tree skirts. the tops were draw string. Way cute idea.
